    In February of this year, I lost my son in a terrible accident. My son was so loved by everyone who knew him, and his passing has left a huge hole in our lives. But I have to take a moment to express my deepest appreciation to Tri-County Cremation & Funeral Home. A Mom never thinks she’ll have to plan her son’s funeral, and as it was so sudden, I was very confused and didn't know the first thing to do. My parents had heard good things about Tri-County from their church, so we went over there, not knowing the first thing about how to make arrangements. As soon as Michael started speaking, his tone and demeanor were calming. He was professional but personal, and set our minds at ease. Michael’s main goal is to make sure that I was able to honor my son the way I want it done. He spent a lot of time with us, family and I were very pleased with their services, and the cost was quite reasonable. He has a passion for helping people in their time of need, and it is quite evident. This is not just a business to Michael, it is a calling. I highly recommend Tri-County Cremation & Funeral Home.

  • To: Tri-County cremation and Funeral Home As my Husband, Earl was dying, Hospice asked me where I wanted my husband to go, I had no clue and was overwhelmed and distraught that my best friend for over 45 years is dying. I got up my courage to call a very well-known funeral home, they were nearby. Oh my word, what a price for a cremation. Earl was a simple man. He didn’t want all that fuss over him. They wanted me to feel like he was a Rockefeller. The next one I called wanted me to come in to the funeral home to discuss prices and pick out an Urn, I said no, I just want the cost of cremation. He got very rude to me and I hung up on them. I started to cry, I don’t know what to do. Hospice told me it was a matter of hours. Luckily a very nice lady was in the lobby and overheard what I was going through. She said, the same thing happened to her last spring. And she said, a friend of hers asked, “did you call Tri-County Funeral Home, they are very caring.” That was the easiest call I made. I first talked to Christine Lopez, family counselor, in 5 minutes I felt like I have known her all my life. She went over everything in detail like I needed, I asked if I could see her, 30 minutes later, we were discussing what kind of services and prices in her office. I told her how rude and disgusting the other places were to me, Christina assured me there were no extra charges to be added on to the bill. What a relief that some companies really do care. What compassion they have. Later on Hospice called and I went back to Tri County Cremation and Funeral Home. I was met by Mike Blickenstaff, he too made me feel like I was a part of the family. I don’t usually hug strangers I first meet, but he got the biggest hug ever. Mike went the extra mile. Earl is now waiting for me at Florida National Cemetery. When the time comes, Mike will be taking care of my arrangements too.
