Ronald Eugene Duckett, 74, of Casselberry, FL., passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. He has been battling cancer since 2009. Ronald was born in Indianapolis, IN. on January 20, 1947 to parents, Orville and Marybell (Loy) Duckett. He moved to Florida with his family when he was 3 years old and never left. He met the love of his life, Rita, married in Longwood and were together for 44 years. He enjoyed watching the FSU Seminoles football games, golf, visiting the mountains of Gatlinburg, TN. in the fall to see the changing leaves and especially visiting casinos in Las Vegas, Mississippi and Tampa where they were “preferred customers.” He leaves behind his loving wife, Rita, sister Judy Winkle of Lake Mary, nephews Tom and Tim, niece Tammy and lots of extended family. Ronald loved life and always had a big smile to share with everyone. He never met a stranger and touched everyone he met. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.

Baby, I sure miss you. Those pretty blue eyes, everything about you. I know your body just wore you down and you are free of pain. I miss you so bad. There will never be another person to take your place. You gave me 44 years and were great years. Watch over me love.

Ron it breaks our hearts you had to go but I know God didn’t want you to continue suffering. Thanks for all your visits and know that you will be greatly missed, especially by Rita. You were a wonderful husband to her. I know God will comfort Rita during these days without you. Rest in peace until we all meet again.

Dear Rita and family, I am so saddened to learn of Ron’s passing. I extend to you my deepest and sincerest condolences. I fondly recall my opportunities to see and be around Ron and yourself. He was always the jovial, friendly and likeable guy who definitely enjoyed his beer , lol. Again, my sincere sympathy, Larry H.
